Gontareva: Privatization in 2016 can replenish state treasury by $1 bln

Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva has said that the state treasury can get $1 billion due to the privatization of Ukrainian state-run enterprises in 2016.

The governor of central bank said this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on financial policy and banking activities, Ukrinform reported.

“We hope that if the privatization takes place, then we will receive 1 billion dollars,” Gontareva said.

She also noted that successfully held privatization would have positive impact on the currency exchange market.
