EU obligatory requirements on chocolate quality begin to act in Ukraine

Only the product with at least 35% loading of the cocoa products can be called chocolate.

The milk chocolate should contain at least 25% of the cocoa products and 14% of the milk products. The white chocolate should contain at least 20% of the cocoa products and 14% of the milk products.
‘The European requirements are obligatory for the fulfillment in comparison with the requirements of the national standard of Ukraine that is voluntary’, the delegation emphasized.

As we reported the Russian candy manufacturers could lose from 15 to 17 million dollars on the Ukrainian market since Kyiv imposed the anti-dumping duty on chocolates and other cocoa-containing products made in Russia.
