Kyiv Investment Agency, a public utility company based in Ukraine’s capital, attracted more than $71.35 million worth of investments in 2014-2017. Kyiv city administration said this in its message, Ukrainian News reports.
During this period, some 26 investment agreements were signed, the overwhelming majority of which involved a private investor carried all the costs associated with Kyiv’s infrastructure in accordance with the contracts.
The money raised by the Agency will be directed towards construction of public and residential infrastructure including a modern sports center at the cost of $10 million, a medical facility based on city hospital #14 at the cost of $6.21 million and the reconstruction of Kyiv maternity clinic #5 priced at $2.82 million.

According to the Agency’s data, the amount of investment raised between January 2017 and September 2017 reached $30 million. Various investment projects carried out by the Kyiv Investment Agency are supported by such institutions as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank and the International Finance Corporation.
Earlier, the city administration announced its expectations of capital investments in Kyiv reaching $5.26 billion in 2018.
