Tetiana Romanovska, Head of Lviv international airport, gave this information during a press conference with the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan on 15 December, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

In November 2017, the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air announced new destinations from Lviv – London (Luton), Dortmund, Katowice and Wroclaw. Flights between Lviv and London (Luton) are scheduled to begin on 1 May 2018, four months earlier than originally expected.

Also, the Italian low-cost airline Ernest Airlines recently arrived at Lviv international airport and is now offering affordable travel to such Italian cities as Venice, Naples and Milano (Bergamo).
Romanovska also urged the government of Ukraine to sign the Open Skies agreement with the European Union as soon as possible.

Lviv’s international airport is located 6 km south of the city center. Its new terminal complex, erected for Euro 2012, has a total area of 39,000 square meters with nine boarding gates, 28 check-in desks, two self-check-in kiosks, 18 passport control points and 12 points for aviation security.
