President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky
will make clear the position on Donbas and Crimea at the possible meeting with President of Russia Volodymyr Putin, as he said in an interview for German outlet Das Bild.
Zelensky said that the words: “Donbas and Crimea is Ukraine” will be the first words which Putin will hear from him at their personal meeting.

Earlier, it was reported that Volodymyr Zelensky hopes Crimea will return to Ukraine.
As it was reported, in late May, Deputy Head of President’s Administration Vadym Prystayko said that he did not exclude a possibility of a phone conversation between Volodymyr Zelensky with Russian President Volodymyr Putin.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that it is necessary that the Ukrainian side fulfill the agreements reached in a “Normandy format” for the talks of the President of Russia and Ukraine.

The armed conflict in Donbas has been active since 2014 after the Russian occupation of Crimea. Ukraine and the West accuse Russia of armed support of the militants. Kremlin denies these accusations and states that there might be Russian “volunteers” in Donbas.
