Serbia on Tuesday announced a state of emergency in 15 regions. Flooding has forced the evacuation of 154 people and destroyed 710 households in the country's west.
Rivers burst their banks following heavy rains, flooding a number of villages and leaving others without electricity.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said the flooding would be declared a natural disaster and the government would send all possible assistance to the affected regions. According to weather forecasts, more rainfall can be expected on Friday.
