Trump attorney Giuliani cancels his visit to Ukraine and meeting with Zelensky

Rudy Giuliani, Trump attorney

Personal Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani canceled the planned trip to Ukraine and the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, The New York Times reported.
The reason for this decision is withering attacks accusing the attorney of seeking foreign assistance for President Trump’s re-election campaign in 2020 after he announced the visit.
“Mr. Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, explained that he felt like he was being “set up,” and he blamed Democrats for trying to “spin” the trip,” the report said.

According to the attorney, he had hoped to meet in Kyiv with the President-elect and urge him to pursue inquiries that could yield new information about two matters of intense interest to Mr. Trump.
“One is the origin of the special counsel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. The other is the
involvement] in a gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch”, - the report added.

As we reported earlier, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani plans to travel to Ukraine
to push the country's leadership on several probes that may prove "very, very helpful" to President Trump, as Republicans continue looking to turn the tables on Democrats and prove that they were the party that improperly conspired with foreign actors.
