Ukraine's PM tells about phone conversation with Zelensky

Ukraine’s PM Volodymyr Groysman told about a phone call to Volodymyr Zelensky to congratulate the comedian on the victory, as he said on air of ICTV during Svoboda Slova talk show.
“I thanked Petro Poroshenko yesterday, and of course, I had a phone conversation with the new President, the elected President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Groysman said.
He said he congratulated Zelensky on victory.
Besides, he stressed that the challenges he faces are rather serious and everything has to be done to overcome them.

Earlier, Groysman said he never hid his intentions to participate in the parliamentary elections as he believes there is a lot of things to do.
Besides, the Prime Minister said he would not resign till the elections to Verkhovna Rada scheduled for October 27, 2019.

According to the National exit poll, Volodymyr Zelensky has 73,2%, while Petro Poroshenko got 25,3%.
The second round of the elections of the President of Ukraine kicked off in Ukraine on April 21, at 8 a.m. Ukraine’s polling stations opened as scheduled across the country with some minor delays, which were quickly addressed. The voting traditionally lasted for 12 hours; the polls closed at 8 p.m.
Earlier Petro Poroshenko commented on the results of the exit polls and congratulated Zelensky on victory in the second tour of the elections.
