Ukrainian athletes win two golds, one silver at Invictus Games

Ukrainian athletes claimed two gold and one silver medals at the Invictus Games in Sydney as the national team officially reported on
FacebookBohdan Oksentyuk got a gold award in the 1,500 meters race, and Vasyl Omelchenko became the winner of 400 meters race. Moreover, Omelchenko got the silver medal in the long jump.

Earlier, we reported that Ukrainian athletes Oleksandr Bilobokov and Serhiy Ilnytsky won the gold medals at the Invictus Games
 indoor rowing competition. Another bronze went to Ukraine's chest, as Denys Fishchuk got the medal at the bicycle race event.
On October 23, Ukrainian athlete Olexandr Havrylenko won a gold medal in the powerlifting. He made three attempts and each of them was record-breaking – 165 kg, 172 kg, and finally 177 kg. Besides, Ukrainian athlete Yevhen Oleksenko claimed a silver medal in the powerlifting event.

As we reported on October 24, Ukrainian swimmers Viktor Shynkaruk, Volodymyr Korol, and Bohdan Oksentyuk put another four awards to the chest. On October 25, Yuriy Dmytrenko won a silver medal in the discus throw.
Also, archers Serhiy Shymchak, Andriy Usa and Maya Moskvych claimed gold in the team event. Besides, Moskvych triumphed in the individual event among novices in the female division.

The Invictus Games kicked off in Australia on October 20. Ukraine is represented by 15 athletes who compete in six kinds of sports.
