Winter Olympics 2018: Schedule of Ukrainian Team

Only a few days left until the opening of the XXIII Winter Olympic Games in South Korean PyeongChang. More and more athletes gather in the Olympic Village every day.
Almost all the members of the Olympic Team of Ukraine have arrived at the site of the competition. The mood of Ukrainian athletes is decisive, each of them hopes to improve their previous results and is already eager to test the Olympic routes.
In total, 33 sportsmen will represent Ukraine at the Olympics in PyeongChang. They will compete in 9 out of 15 sports: Alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, freestyle skiing, luge, nordic combined, skeleton, snowboard.
The greatest medal expectations are placed on biathlon.
As it is known, Ukrainian women's relay team of four is the current Olympic champion, and Ukrainians intend to keep the title.
However, it is possible that our athletes in other sports will be able to win the awards for Ukraine and please Ukrainian fans.

The next day, February 10, the Ukrainian skiathlon, luge athletes and women's biathlon team will perform.
More performances are expected on February 11.

As it was reported earlier, Ukraine’s Sports Minister Ihor Zhdanov said that the winners of the Olympics will receive 125 thousand dollars for the first place, 80 thousand dollars - for the second, and 55 thousand dollars for the third place.
About 4.5 million dollars was spent to prepare Ukrainian sportsmen for the Olympic Games in PyeongChang. Half of the money was spent on the biathlon.
On February 7, the flag of Ukraine was solemnly raised in PyeongChang Olympic Village, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported.
