rebelcircusThree football fans, the supporters of Shakhtar Donetsk sustained injuries in the scuffle with the attackers on Thursday night. According to Merkurist.de, the assailants were the ultras of Eintracht; the home team defeated Shakhtar in the game of UEFA Europa League on February 21.
A group of 15 people assaulted and robbed three Ukrainians, one of which was taken to a hospital. The police came too late as the attackers escaped.
Earlier, we reported that Shakhtar Donetsk played an away game in Germany, hosted by Eintracht Frankfurt. It was a chance for the Mountaineers to proceed into the playoffs of UEFA Europa League.
It all went south already in the first half. Shakhtar lost two goals over five minutes, one of them from the spot kick. In the second half, Moraes managed to reclaim one goal, but then, Eintracht scored again, showing the guest team who's in charge. The 4-1 loss sent the Ukrainian team home, as the Germans won 6-3 on aggregate.
