Balukh's mother not to ask Putin to pardon her son

Natalia Balukh, the mother of Ukrainian political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh said she would not ask Russian leader Vladimir Putin to pardon her son Volodymyr Balukh, who currently serves time as the Kremlin's political prisoner.
Krym.Realii news agency quoted her, as she said she would not turn to Putin. 'Vova (Volodymyr Balukh, - 112 International) would not understand me, he would get the wrong idea. He would not ask for forgiveness. Asking means pleading guilty, and he can't do that because he is innocent', she said.
As is known, Volodymyr Balukh was sentenced to three years and seven months in a penal colony under charges with the alleged storage of ammunition; human rights watchers consider this to be the punishment for his pro-Ukrainian position, specifically for the case when he, the resident of the occupied Crimea, hoisted the Ukrainian flag in his yard.
As of July 18, it's been already 120 days since Balukh is on the hunger strike. He lost more than 30 kilograms due to the ongoing starvation.

Volodymyr Chykryhyn, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Crimean Human Rights Group claimed that doctors are not allowed to Balukh.

On July 5, Balukh was sentenced in Crimea to five years of the colony on the second case, being accused of alleged beating Valeriy Tkachenko, the chief of the temporary detention facility in Rozdolne village. Although, Balukh claimed that Tkachenko attacked him.
