Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has condemned Russia's plans to issue Russian passports for the residents of the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This is mentioned in the statement made by the press office of the Polish authority.
'Poland supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders. Thus, we definitely condemn Russia's policy of passportization, which was previously used by the Russian government in other conflicts. We reckon that the decree signed by President Vladimir Putin (...) clearly contradicts the spirit of Minsk agreements', reads the ministry's statement.

The Polish side also claimed that such IDs cannot be used for traveling.
The ministry added that making such a decision after the presidential election in Ukraine means an attempt to destabilize Ukraine and violate its territorial integrity.

'Poland, along with a group of UN Security Council members urges Russia to stop the actions aimed at the destruction of efforts to settle the conflict, and to return Ukraine the opportunity to manage its own territory. Both parties to the conflict must pay every effort to live up to the commitments they undertook within Minsk agreements', the authority said.
