Easol, a startup that enables event organizers to build websites, take bookings, and manage payments on one platform, has raised $25 million in a round led by Tiger Global. The London-based company was created by husband and wife pair Ben and Lisa Simpson who first set out to solve their own challenges while organizing Rise, a snow sports festival they founded in 2014."We had group packages, helicopter transfers, ski hire, snowboard lessons, you name it, we were selling it to help people have an amazing ski holiday," Easol CEO Ben Simpson said."What that meant is we ended up running across five different platforms ... and then we ran payments through a totally different gateway. We just ran into so many painful challenges. We had a total lack of data attribution."
