Former Meta VP Julien Codorniou quits after 11 years for Goop investor Felix Capital

Julien Codorniou, formerly VP of Workplace for Meta, has quit the tech giant for venture capital.




Codorniou said he left Meta because he wanted to invest in European entrepreneurs.




He becomes partner at Felix Capital, a VC firm that backed Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop.


Julien Codorniou, VP of Meta's collaboration service Workplace, has quit the tech giant after 11 years to move into venture capital.Codorniou resigned from Meta a?? formerly Facebook a?? to become a partner at European investment firm Felix Capital on Monday.As the boss of Workplace, Codorniou was one of Meta's few influential Europe-based execs and was instrumental in turning the Slack and Teams competitor into a growing software subscription business with 7 million paid users as of May.His departure follows several notable exits from Meta in 2021. Ad chief Carolyn Everson left in June to become president of grocery-delivery firm Instacart. David Marcus, who ran Messenger and then formed Meta's cryptocurrency division Novi, announced his resignation on November 30. The head of Meta's Irish office, Gareth Lambe, said he planned to step down in 2022 and take some time out.
