Tesla CEO Elon Musk
said in a tweet Tuesday that the company is exploring potential locations for new factory in the central US to build its futuristic,
all-electric Cybertruck.
"Scouting locations for Cybertruck Gigafactory. Will be central USA," Musk wrote.
Musk unveiled the Cybertruck at a bizarre launch event last November to mixed reactions, with some mocking the truck's angular body and others
praising its radical design. Ultimately, Tesla received
more than 250,000 pre-orders for the Cybertruck, according to Musk.
Despite establishing itself as one of the world's most innovative car companies, Tesla has struggled to actually make its vehicles, repeatedly
falling short on production goals as it tries to scale up operations.
