The parties expect that the project will be implemented by 2020, the press service of Ukrtransgaz reports.

During a meeting in Lviv final decisions were made on the technical and organizational deliverables of the project. Research will be still conducted, and the latest recommendations will be taken as a basis for further action during the project implementation phase.

The planned gas interconnector Poland-Ukraine will include construction of natural gas pipelines with a total length of approximately 1.5 kilometer in Poland and almost 110 kilometers through the territory of Ukraine.

Gas pipeline systems should be modernized as it was set forth in the feasibility study in order to increase stream from Poland to Ukraine to 21.9 million cubic meters of natural gas per one day (about 8 billion a year), and to increase the possibilities of gas transportation from Ukraine to Poland to about 19.2 million cubic meters per one day (approximately 7 billion per year).
