Terror attack possibly caused armory blast in Balakliya - Ukraine's Defense MinisterUkrainian experts will find out circumstances of an explosion of army depots near Balakliya city in Kharkiv region very soon. Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said this during a meeting with local authorities.

"About UAH 99m has been allocated for the restoration after a fire in a warehouse in Balakliya. UAH 9m will go for mine clearance. In addition, UAH 200m from the national reserve fund will go to the restoration of others military warehouses and arsenals," Poltorak said.

The investigation into the causes of the explosion in the military depot near Balakliya is under way. The main version is this was an act of terrorism, sabotage, and work of a reconnaissance group, the press service of Ukraine's Defense Minister stated.

Experts say that depots had been undermined.

"Experts are figuring out how the terror attack was carried out. The results of the investigation will be soon," - said the Minister.

In addition, he said that the security at military warehouses located near the borders with the Russia will be increased.

As a reminder, at night on March 23, Ukrainian military’s arsenal near Balakliya was blasted. A woman was killed, three other civilians were injured. Another injured woman died in a hospital later.

Last week, experts refuted the version that depots near Balakliya were attacked by a drone.
