Russia used in Donbas battles its T-90 battle tank and its modifications which are the most powerful armored vehicles in the arsenal of the ground forces of the Russian Federation.
This is reported by 112 UA TV Channel
The first serial modifications of the T-90 tanks were produced in 1992, but the delivery of these tanks to Ukraine was not carried out.
The agency says that reports that tanks of the T-90 series seen in eastern Ukraine began arriving in the summer of 2014. Until 2016, there was little visual evidence supporting such statements.
An example is a video posted on YouTube, which was allegedly filmed on August 25, 2014. Thus, the video was recorded at the end of the battle for Ilovaysk, when the terrorists were actively fighting. Noteworthy is the fact that during the battles several Russian tanks were destroyed. The edition notes that without an original file it is impossible to find out an exact date of the filming, but it’s possible to confirm the place of recording using the geolocation method.

The first one to report about this video was Askai707 who was following the progress of the conflict in Ukraine. On October 21, 2016, he wrote about it on Twitter. He also conducted the geolocation of the video, confirming the presence of T-90A tanks in the war zone. The video was filmed next to the railway crossing to the southeast of the village of Lyse of Luhansk region.
The publication notes that it is clear from the available visual materials that there were tanks T-90A in the east of Ukraine in summer of 2014, probably belonging to the 136th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation:
