31% of Ukrainians support ATO continuation until Kyiv establishes complete control over Donbas31% of Ukrainians support continuation of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas until a complete control over the occupied areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions established by Kyiv.

These are results of the sociological analysis "Identity of Ukrainian citizens under new circumstances: conditions, tendencies, regional peculiarities", conducted by Razumkov Center, a think tank researching public policy.

22% of respondents want ‘special status' for the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine. 16% of respondents support separating the militant-held area from Ukraine. While almost one thirds of Ukrainians (31%) didn't make their mind regarding solution of the Donbas issue.

According to the poll, the ATO continuation is mainly supported by people in western (45%) and central (36%) parts of Ukraine. Most respondents from eastern regions (32%) are for granting a ‘special status' to the occupied territories.

The opinion poll, surveying 10,071 people, was conducted within December 11-23, 2015 throughout all regions of Ukraine (except for the separatist-occupied territories of Donbas and Russia-annexed Crimea) and had a margin of error of one percentage point.
