Militants reinforce front lines with artillery, - Defence Ministry

The militants have reinforced their front lines with mortars and artillery and increased the number of the attacks over the past 24 hours on September 3, as Dmytro Hutsulyak, the Spokesperson of the Defence Ministry, said, reports.
In total, on September 3, the enemy conducted 20 adjusted fires.
In Luhansk sector Russian occupation troops performed five firing provocations near Krymske, Shumy, Zaitseve and Myronivskiy.

The enemy shot 15 times at our positions near Vodyane, Pavlopil, Pisky, Lebedynske, Opytne and Hnutove in Donetsk sector.
As a result, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured. They were taken to the hospitals. Their health condition is satisfactory.
From the beginning of the day, six adjusted attacks were recorded. All of them were performed in Donetsk sector. The occupants were firing at the positions of the Armed Forces from heavy machine guns near Hnutove, Krasnohorivka, Shyrokyne and Lebedynske.

No casualties among the Ukrainian ranks reported.
Moreover, according to the Central Intelligence Department of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry, the Command of the Russian occupation troops enhanced the fighting capacity of the frontline units due to the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko, the Head of the so-called “DNR”.
“In particular, the mortar and artillery batteries of the enemy took up combat positions, which were prepared earlier, at night and carried out drills on firing control. Moreover, the occupants additionally mined the areas, sniper units took positions along the demarcation line,” Hutsulyak said.

Additionally, the Russian leadership of the frontline troops is imposing information about the alleged preparation of the Armed Forces to the intensified fighting.
