Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry has worked out the complex of the measures as the response to the actions of Russia on the blocking of the navigation in the Azov and Black Seas. Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure claimed this as 5 TV Channel reported.
"We have a few quite weighty strikes in the response. The countermeasures that we will offer soon, I hope, the Cabinet of Ministers will support them," he claimed.

He noted that it is premature to disclose these measures; however, the restriction of the passenger traffic with Russia is one of them.
"If we fight, then there is nothing to go there. Whether someone likes it or not, the actions of the state should be tough and adequate," Omelyan emphasized.
The arguments that such measures will provoke the crisis of the passenger transporting were rejected by the minister. As an example, he said about the ban for the direct flights to Russia and emphasized that the passengers' flow was redirected to "the civilized countries".

"I am sure that it will be the same story with the railway and bus traffic," the said.
At the same time, Omelyan specified that Ukraine will not violate the commitments for the transit taken within the WTO and its reduction observed during the last years is connected with Russia.
Earlier Omelyan claimed he signed a "historical document" concerning the restriction of the traffic with Russia.

As it was reported earlier the issue of the termination of the railway traffic with the Russian Federation is on the agenda, however, it should be supported by the Council of the National Security and Defense and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier we reported that Ukraine is considering to terminate the railway traffic with Russia, as Volodymyr Omelyan, the Infrastructure Minister, stated. As it was reported, Russia switched the railway traffic to the ways which pass over Ukraine since December 11, 2017. The relevant decision came into force on November 15.
After that, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railways, - ed.) is considering an option to close the railway traffic with Russia.

Earlier, Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, during one of his speeches said that he did not exclude the fact that Russia is preparing an attack at Mariupol. Besides, as of July 15, Russian had detained 148 vessels in the Sea of Azov for inspection.
Due to this, Poroshenko entrusted the Defence Minister, the Head of the General Staff and Ukraine’s Navy command to take relevant measures to stop the Russian provocations concerning the blockage of the vessels entering to the Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov.
