Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry expressed protest against another visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol, which was not agreed with the Ukrainian authorities, as the message published on the website of the Ministry says.
“Ukraine regards this visit and any so-called trips of the Russian officials to the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine) a flagrant violation of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a cynical and ostentatious disregard of the generally recognized principles and norms,” the message says.

It is also stressed that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are an integral part of Ukraine and its internationally recognized borders, which is recognized by the majority of the international community.
Earlier it was reported that on August 4, Vladimir Putin visited the opening of the Second International Music Festival “Opera in Chersonesos”, which takes place on August 10-12 on the territory of Tauric Chersonesos museum in Sevastopol.

The Russian side considers the territory of the Crimean peninsula Russian after the so-called referendum for the reunion held in 2014. It was not recognized by the majority of the international community.
