Poroshenko asks Cabinet of Ministers to create body for recovery of damages from Russia

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers with a request to assume measures for the soon creation of the inter-department coordination body for the recovery of damages inflicted by the occupation of Crimea and combat actions in Donbas from Russia as

"The ongoing armed aggression of Russia brings new immeasurable human suffering to Ukraine, the infrastructure is damaged, the enterprises and economic potential of Donbas and Crimea are ruined. We cannot hesitate even a minute toward the forming of the consolidated claim of Ukraine to Russia for the recovery of the damages inflicted by Russia," Poroshenko claimed.

According to the president, this body is provided by the so-called reintegration law adopted in January.
Also, the president claimed that he expects the plan of the development of the territories from the government adjacent to occupied areas from the government.
 'I expect the detailed plan for the complex development of the territories from the government adjacent to occupied areas from the government. I am glad, that my strategy was supported by the EU leaders during Ukraine-EU summit expressing the readiness to take under the auspices the restoration of the settlements of Donbas," Poroshenko claimed.

Vadym Denysenko, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers claimed to 112 Ukraine that this plan will be presented in few months.
"I think that it will not be prepared during the years and the plan will be presented in few months,' Denysenko claimed.

He specified that the work on the recovery of damages and development of the territory is held for a long period of time.
"This work is held for a long period time, both in the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security Council; Hennady Zubko is responsible for this work. Talking about the things that will be worked out, there is a law on Donbas reintegration that clearly specifies particular issues from one point of view; from another point of view, there is the preparation of the court suits and the complex of the measures necessary for the occupied territories of Donbas and areas adjacent to them. The parts of this plan were worked out in the Ministry of Occupied Territories under the guidance of Zubko and in the National Security Council.  Now, these things should be united. A lot of issues, social, infrastructure and economic will be united," he said.

As we reported President Poroshenko ordered the Foreign Ministry to enhance the work on strengthening of sanctions against Russia
, individuals and legal entities involved in the annexation of Crimea. Moreover, Poroshenko welcomed the EU decision to extend the sanctions against the Russian companies that participated in the construction of Kerch Strait Bridge.
