Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s Ombudsman
, commented on Sentsov’s health condition on air of 112 Ukraine.
“I am waiting for the information from Fedotov – Putin’s Advisor on Human Rights. But Dmytro Dinze said that indeed, he doesn’t feel well,” Denisova said.
She informed that Sentsov was in the intensive care and he was removed from the prison. They wanted to feed him forcefully, but he denied and now he might receive this “mixture”.

Ombudsman confirmed that earlier Sentsov was fed with this mixture, but it is not certain as she is not allowed to visit him.
“I addressed UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the High Commissioner of the European Council and asked them to send the representatives there,” Denisova stated.
Earlier, it was reported that according to Nataliya Kaplan, Sentsov's cousin, he was in a terminal state. Though later, Kaplan herself denied this statement.

As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov and Crimean activist Oleksandr Kolchenko were detained by the Russian FSB in the annexed Crimea. Both were taken to Russia. Sentsov was charged with preparing a terrorist act in Crimea and sentenced to 20 years in the high-security penal colony. Kolchenko was sentenced to ten-years-long imprisonment.
Oleg Sentsov announced a hunger strike on May 14. This way, he demands that all Ukrainians detained in Russia and annexed Crimea be released. Sentsov said he was ready to die if the requirements were not fulfilled.
