Croatian football player Vida apologized to Russians for saying ‘Glory to Ukraine’

Croatian footballer Domagoj Vida, who after the match against Russia shouted 'Glory Ukraine,' apologized for this to the Russians. The video was posted on

The journalist asked Vida if he was not confused that Russian fans were whistling in the stands when he was on the field during Croatia's match against England.

Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom reacted to the publications of British media that writing about events around Croatia’s football player Domagoj Vida, called the slogan ‘Glory to Ukraine’ nationalistic.
On Wednesday, President Poroshenko said Ukraine appreciated the words of support of Domagoj Vida and Ognjen Vukojevic, the Croatian footballers who devoted their victory over Russia in 2018 World Cup.
