US do not recognize Russian annexation of Crimea, sanctions remain, - White House

CNN
The White House spokesman Sarah Sanders said at a briefing that the United States did not recognize the annexation of Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the White House.
“We do not recognize Russia’s attempt to annex Crimea.  We agree to disagree with Russia on that front.  And our Crimea sanctions against Russia will remain in place until Russia returns the peninsula to the Ukraine,” the Sanders said.

As it was reported earlier, U.S. leader Donald Trump called Crimea 'part of Russia', because 'everyone speaks Russian there'. Trump also asked the G7 leaders why would they support Ukraine, since it was 'one of the most corrupt countries of the world', he said.
Previously, Trump said he upheld Russia's return to G8, while the G7 leaders opposed the idea.
Earlier U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said that Russia would not be invited to return to the G7 countries until it stops interfering in the affairs of other countries.
As it was reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked the leaders of the G-7 countries for their support of Ukraine. According to him, the results of the summit confirmed that Ukraine is "among the key priorities of the free world."
