Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denysova intends to visit Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia Roman Sushchenko and Mykola Karpyuk today on June 14 as 112 Ukraine reported.
“Really, on Saturday we will be in Omsk, visiting Roman Shtyblikov along with Russian Commissioner for Human Right Moskalkova. But today we negotiation on the basis of the consular agreements to visit Roman Sushchenko and Karpyuk who are at Vladimir Central. We hold the necessary procedures with our Embassy to Russia, yesterday the note for giving us such possibility was sent. We work on this direction,” she said.

As it was reported earlier, Verkhovna Rada passed the document, in which it turned to the international partners due to the illegal verdict in the case of the political prisoner.
The Verkhovna Rada demanded that Russia immediately stop the deliberate violation of human rights and freedoms, cancel the illegal decision in the case of Roman Sushchenko and see to it that he returns to Ukraine without impediment.

Roman Sushchenko, the Ukrainian reporter, was detained in Moscow in September 2016. The Russian prosecutors charged him with espionage in favor of the Ukrainian military intelligence. They also accused him of an attempt to clear up the possibility of a new attack on Mariupol by the “DNR” terrorists. Recently, the Russian court sentenced him to 12 years in the high-security penal colony.
