Poroshenko asks international partners to provide nominees to expert council for anti-corruption judges

President Petro Poroshenko asks the international partners to provide the nominees to the expert council for the selection of the anti-corruption judges. He claimed this during the meeting with the students of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
'I want to appeal to our foreign partners as the Foreign Experts Institute is provided by the draft law, who should provide the nominees of the organizations that specialize in the fight against corruption, some authoritative, international where Ukraine participates at the inter-state level. I ask to provide at least 12 nominees in a short period of time to the Supreme Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine to launch the creation of the court', he noted.

As we reported Petro Poroshenko has signed the law 'On Supreme Anti-Corruption court'.
We recall, on June 7, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for the law on the establishment of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. The decision was supported by 315 deputies.
In particular, the law determines the procedure for holding a competition for the selection of anti-corruption judges.
According to the text of the bill in the second reading, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SACC) will work with criminal proceedings against corruption crimes provided for in the note of Article 45 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, art. 206 (2), 209, 366 (1) of the Criminal Code.
The law enters into force on the day after publication, with the exception of certain provisions that come into force with the commencement of the work of the SACC.
The Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading the presidential bill number 7440 on the Anti-Corruption Court on March 1. Since that day, the head of state has called upon the people's deputies to speed up the work on the adoption of the full document.
