The Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Ukraine Sevki Acuner is going to give up his current position from 1 June in order to continue his career at the institution’s London branch, the senior communications advisor for the Bank Anton Usov said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"The managing director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Eastern Europe and Caucasus Francis Malige will also be responsible for the institution's operations in Ukraine",- Usov explained the new management structure.
As reported earlier, in April 2013, the EBRD announced the appointment of S. Acuner as the director for Ukraine from 1 June. Prior to that, he worked as deputy director of the EBRD in Turkey, following different positions at the Turkish Central bank, the Bank of Montreal and the Royal Bank of Canada, as well as in other countries across North America and Europe.

The bank's Ukrainian branch was previously managed by Andre Kuusvek, who went on to assume the position of the director for local currency and capital markets development at the EBRD headquarters in London.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is the largest financial investor in Ukraine, having invested a total of over EUR 12 billion in the country in 25 years.
