Ukraine's MFA protests against detention of Qurultay delegate Asan Egiz

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine voiced its protest in connection with the detention of the delegate of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Asana Egiz in Russia-annexed Crimea. This was reported by Mariana Betsa on Twitter.
"The hybrid deportation in action. We protest in connection with the kidnapping of the Qurultay delegate Asan Egiz by the occupant," the statement said.
Also, in connection with this incident Ukraine will turn to the International Court of Justice.
As it was reported earlier, Russian security forces detained Asan Egiz, Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People delegate, in annexed Crimea, as Refat Chubarov, the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, wrote.
According to Chubarov, Abdurman Egiz, Asan’s brother, who arrived at the site, did not find the car of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People delegate. Chubarov added that Asan’s brother went to Russian Federal Security Service in Crimea to find his brother.

Zair Smedlya, the Head of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People Central Election Committee, confirmed the information on Asan’s detention.
At the same time, the representatives of Russian Federal Security Service Administration in Crimea deny the delegate’s detention. Aider Azamatov, the lawyer, who is searching for Egiz, said.
Asan Egiz, Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People delegate, detained in Crimea on May 23 was beaten and left on a highway, as Refat Chubarov, the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, reported.
