The daughter of Sergei Skripal, ex-GRU officer, Yulia, who was poisoned in British Salisbury along with her father, wants to come back to Russia, as she stated in her statement, which she handed over to Reuters.
“Skripal spoke in Russian at a location in London and refused to answer questions. She supplied her own, handwritten translation into English of her statement,” the news agency reports.
Yulia thanked Russian Embassy for the help offered but refused to accept it. She has stressed again that all the previous statements were made on her behalf.

“I wish to address a couple of issues directly and have chosen to interrupt my rehabilitation to make this short statement. I ask that everyone respects the privacy of me and my father. We need time to recover and come to terms with everything that has happened,” Yulia says.
She has also stated that she is still completing her rehab.

“I would like to return to my home country, but in a longer term,” she noted.
