The settlement of Roma people near Rudne village in Lviv region was burned. This was reported on the website of Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova.
“According to the message we received from the public activists, on May 9, some unknown people burned Roma camp located near the Rudne village in Lviv region. As a result, the property of Roma people was damaged and they had to leave the location,” the message says.
In response to this, the Ombudsman directed a request to the National Police of Lviv region to take legal measures and ensure order and security in Rudne village.
At the same time, the Ombudsman is concerned about the increasing number of incidents of intolerance against the Roma national minority.
Lviv police opened a criminal case on hooliganism over the dispersal of the Roma camp in the regional center. This was reported by the press service of the regional National Police.

"The investigators of Lviv region police on May 10 opened criminal proceedings according to the report about a fire incident in a settlement on Horodotska street in Lviv. The incident is now classified as hooliganism," the statement says.
Individuals involved in dispersing of the camp are now being identified. The pre-trial investigation has started.
As it was reported earlier, Romania did not recognize the election of the Russian president in the annexed Crimea. The Foreign Ministry also reminded that Romania considers the Crimea part of Ukraine and does not recognize the illegal annexation of Russia by the peninsula.
Elections of the Russian president in the annexed Crimea were also not recognized by France, Norway, and later by Slovakia. The countries stated that they would continue to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
