The Command of Joint Force Operation prepares to respond to the possible provocations of the pro-Russian militants on May 9. Interfax-Ukraine reported this citing Valery Zalyzhny, the First Deputy Commander of Joint Force Operation.
‘May 9 is a date when an enemy will try to use all present forces and means to provoke the situation both at the territory where the peaceful life continues and the contact line’, he claimed.

He also emphasized that the Joint Force Operation is ready for any development of the situation and will not allow the commitment of the planned actions.
As we reported the SBU in Chernihiv found the organizer of provocations ordered by Russia’s special services and aimed to incite the interethnic hostility.
As we reported, on April 30, the Anti-Terrorist Operation is officially replaced by the Joint Force Operation (JFO) in Donbas.
The change of the format is defined in the law 'On Donbas reintegration'.

On April 13, Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the Anti-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine is to be renamed in the Joint Forces Operation since April 30, 2018.
As it was reported earlier, Poroshenko appointed Serhiy Nayev the Joint Force Commander.
