Canada will collect biometric data of all Ukrainian citizens who apply for visa. It was reported by Ukrinform.
"Biometric data (fingerprints and electronic photo) will be required from the applicants for tourist visas, permits for work, study and permanent residence in Canada," the statement said.
At the same time, the biometric will be collected from each applicant only once every 10 years, regardless of the length of the issued visa.
Because of this, the price for the Canadian visa will rise and will amount to $ 185.
The changes will take effect this summer.

As it was reported earlier, in Ontario, Canada, authorities allocated $ 750,000 to support the National Education Tour on the Holodomor. This was reported by the deputy of the local parliament Yvan Baker on Twitter.

"I am proud to say that this afternoon the Canada-Ukraine Foundation received a grant of $ 750,000 to raise awareness of the famine in Ukraine in 1932-33," he wrote.

Within the framework of the project, a "mobile audience" was created in the province - a bus, equipped with a special interactive equipment, which will travel to Canada's educational institutions and conduct lectures on the tragic events of 1932-1933 in Ukraine.
