Cabinet to look into Naftogaz unbundling, tariff setting in May

The coordination council for the reform of the energy sector under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine seeks to look into the matters of unbundling Naftogaz-Ukraine, as well as gas tariff setting practice for households and subsidy monetization.
“We intend to figure out the problem and possible solutions to it. I suggest to make the issue of unbundling, subsidy monetization, and gas tariff setting the topics of our next meeting, which may take place as soon as in three weeks’ time,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The government report claims that the coordination council consists of the relevant ministers and heads of departments, members of parliament, diplomats and members of international financial institutions. The council headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman held its first meeting on 25 April.

adjusting gas tariffs to their market value in accordance with Ukraine’s obligations under the framework of the EFF program.
