The Russian side threatened to 'take action in response'.
'Every time people cross the border, Kyiv thinks of new reasons in order to keep the crew from going back home, to their families. We demand that Ukraine stop teasing the sailors and let them return to their native Crimea. We count on the international society, hoping for their adequate evaluation of the inhumane actions of the Kyiv government. Russia will reserve the right to respond until our citizens are let out of Ukraine', Zakharova said.
