Volodymyr Groysman, Ukraine’s PM, informed about his intentions to extend the Affordable medications program, as he wrote on his Facebook page.
“There is a global goal – to introduce all the medications from the state programs, that are used to cure outpatients to the Affordable medications program,” he wrote.
Groysman stated that 91% of Ukrainians support the program, because it saves the family budget.
“The representatives of the Health Ministry counted that, for instance, a family with a diabetic person and a person with bronchial asthma can save around $38 in a month. A person with a cardiac failure can save around $8 on medications in a month,” he wrote.
The PM believes that the Affordable medications program has proved its effectiveness over a year of its existence.
“The Affordable medications program has been working for a year. It’s a pleasure for me that the program resulted in the health improving and people’s support, not just simple numbers,” Groysman stated.
Earlier, Volodymyr Groysman said at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that 8 million Ukrainians are using  the Affordable medications program daily.
