May's claim is a provocation, - Russian Foreign Ministry

Russian Foreign Ministry calls British PM Theresa May’s claim about Russian involvement in Skripal’s poisoning a crude provocation, which disrupts the basis of a normal interstate dialogue between the states. It is stated on the website of Russian Foreign Ministry.
The representatives of the Ministry think that British Government’s following its reprehensible political intentions caused a growing tension in the relationship by stating a set of adverse measures, including expulsion of 23 Russian diplomats from the country.
The message says that Britain unleashed an anti-Russian campaign before the presidential elections.

“Instead of finishing its own investigation, use international standards and tools, including in the framework of the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Organization, which we were ready for, British authority decided towards confrontation with Russia. Probably, British authorities by using unilateral and non-transparent ways to investigate the case tried to unleash anti-Russian campaign again,” the message says.
Earlier, May stated the Russia is likely to be involved in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal, a former Russian military intelligence officer.
Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called things going on in British Parliament “a circus and another informative and political campaign based on a provocation”.
Russian Foreign Ministry voiced protest against Laurie Bristow, British ambassador, due to British accusations against Russia in terms of its involvement in Skripal’s poisoning.
Britain specified the number of Russian diplomats to be expelled from the country due to Skripal’s poisoning.
