Ukraine's Foreign Ministry protests Putin's visit to annexed Crimea

Foreign Ministry of Ukraine expressed a protest against Russia due to Russian delegation and Russian President visit to annexed Crimea, which was not agreed with Ukraine. The Ministry’s press-office reports.
Ukraine considers this visit, along with other trips to annexed Crimea, a crude violation of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a negligence of international law, obligations of bilateral and multilateral agreements by the Russian side, including UN Charter, UN National General Assembly Resolution entitled “Territorial integrity of Ukraine” and “Human rights in Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine)”.

“Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are and will remain an integral part of Ukraine and its internationally recognized border. This is acknowledged by the entire world, which reasonably estimated internationally illegal actions of Russia by adoption of relevant resolutions of UN, European Committee, OSCE and other international organizations, along with the introduction of restrictive measures (sanctions) against the occupier country,” the message says.
Earlier, Ukraine’s President called Putin’s visit to annexed Crimea a provocation. Thus, the Head of state called the international community for non-recognition of Russian elections in Crimea.
Russia presidential elections will be held on March 18, 2018. The Central Election Commission registered eight candidates. Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Ksenia Sobchak and Grigory Yavlinsky are among them.
