Militants cooperate with Ruban

Militants showed their friendly attitude towards Volodymyr Ruban many times. Iryna Herashchenko, President's Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks regarding the War in Donbas, wrote it on her
FacebookShe said that regardless of Ukrainian side efforts, the ICRC representatives and ombudsmen did not have an opportunity to meet with Ukrainian prisoners, who were not allowed to even call their relatives. Yet, Ruban did not have any problems meeting with prisoners, interviewing and videotaping them. Besides, militants' representatives in Minsk tried to affect the working groups, using blackmail and personal threats, but Ruban was among those, with whom militants expressed a desire to cooperate.
Alexander Zakharchenko, the leader of so-called Donetsk People's Republic, in his comment for Telegram Channel WarGonzo said that he did not work with Ruban.

"I met with Ruban only to discuss the issue of prisoners exchange a long time ago," Zakharchenko stated. As to the SBU's claims about terrorist attacks in Kyiv and coup, Zakharchenko called it a "scenario of a cheap American action film for third world countries".
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian law enforcers detained Volodymyr Ruban, the head of the Centre for POW Release
when he carrying weapons in his car in the Donbas conflict zone. Later, he was accused of preparing a terrorist attack and weapon dispossession.
