Clashes near Parliament: 11 protesters hospitalized, 1 operated

As a result of clashes between protesters and police officers near the building of the Ukrainian Parliament 11 protesters were hospitalized. NGO Rukh Vyzvolennia posted this on its Facebook page.
“Everyone has head injuries multiple fractures of arms and legs. One protester has internal bleeding besides injuries and fractures,” the message says.
It was also mentioned that one of the protesters doctors took to the Oleksandrivsk hospital for surgery.
Meanwhile, Hromadske reports that during the clashes near the the building of the Ukrainian Parliament in the morning on March 3 one of the policemen used a pepper spray against Radio Svoboda journalist Serhiy Nuzhnenko.
It was reported earlier that the police officers under the court’s decision started the investigation in the tent city under two criminal procedures in the tent city under the Ukrainian Parliament. But the protesters started to resist against law enforcers. The clashes began and accrding to the police data 6 people out of those, who were in the tent city, were injured, four victims among policemen.
It was mentioned that 101 people were either detained or invited for giving testimony. During the search, nine RGD-5 combat grenades, bottles with petrol (Molotov cocktails), metal sticks (for attacking police officers) and five smoke shells were found.
The police officers started the investigation in the protesters’ camp under two criminal procedures: the events of Feb. 27 near the Parliament, when 14 police officers were wounded, and the events near the October palace in 2017, when police officers were also wounded. As to the events of Feb. 27, a few protesters were informed about suspicion.
As we reported earlier, public events were held near the building of the Ukrainian Parliament on February 27.  The protesters brought tires and wanted to fire them. The police officers tried to stop the protesters, but they started to throw stones and bottles with petrol. As a result of clashes 14 law enforcers were wounded.
