Emancipated Ukrainian border guards Bohdan Martsonya and Ihor Dziubak told about the conditions in Russian prison. 112 Ukraine TV channel broadcasted their reunion with families in Kyiv.
“I was treated as a prisoner. We did not get better attitude, it was just like towards murderers and slaves,” Martsonya said. When he was asked whether they felt any psychological pressure he responded: “We were there with criminals – this is psychological pressure as it is”. He also answered yes after being asked about threats.
He also mentioned that he was not beat in Russian prison.
Another emancipated border guard confirmed this information. “No physical torture was applied,” Dziubak said and added that his physical health is good.
Martsonya said that Ukrainian ambassador was allowed to visit them, though not right away. They had a chance to talk to lawyers as well.
As it was reported, Bogdan Mertsonya and Igor Dziubak, Ukrainian border guards came back home today on March 2.  Russian special services kidnapped them near the state border in Sumy region in October 2017. Ukraine transferred to Russia Vladimir Kuznetsov and Askar Kulub, servicemen of the Russian Federal Security Border Service, arrested in Kherson region in summer of 2017.
