Bad weather in Ukraine: Big traffic jams due to snow in Kyiv
Due to difficult weather conditions, big traffic jams blocked the movement on the roads in Kyiv on Thursday, March 1, according to Google Maps data. Traffic is paralyzed almost throughout the whole city.
The situation is most difficult in the central part of the capital. Here, big traffic jams are observed on Khreshchatyk,  Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard, Taras Shevchenko Boulevard and Volodymyrsky Descent.
To ensure the clearing of roads from snow, the entry of large-sized transport to the cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kremenchuh, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson and certain parts of the roads in some regions is restricted. This was reported on March 1 by the press center of the Emergency Service.
It is noted that 2,413 people and 1,705 units of equipment were used to clear roads and assist in towing individual vehicles.

"Due to strong winds, pilotage of vessels in Mariupol, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson and Yuzhnensk sea trade ports is limited," the report said.
Airports operate in regular mode.
As it was reported earlier weather forecasters warn Ukrainians about bad weather conditions on February 28 due to the active cyclones.
In addition, on March 1 in the southern, eastern and most central regions wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected; in Pryazovia - 15-20 m/s, snowstorms. In Kherson, Zaporozhia, Dnipro, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions there will be strong, sometimes very heavy snow, heavy snowstorms, snow drifts, ice on the roads.
It is noted that such weather conditions can lead to disruption and termination of traffic in certain sections of roads and streets, the operation of electrical networks, utilities, construction and marine industries in most regions of the country (except for Western).
