Organizers of Russia's presidential election in Crimea should be brought to responsibility

Committee of voters of Ukraine appealed to the] with a demand to open the criminal proceedings against the citizens of Crimea who became the members of the so-called election commissions and prepare the holding of the election of the president of Russia in the territory of the peninsula as the website of the committee reported.
According to the committee, the Crimeans should not participate in the illegal election processes. People who entered the list of the organizers of the Russian presidential elections should be brought to the responsibility according to the laws of Ukraine, particularly on the state treason that provides the imprisonment in 12-15 years.

Oleksy Koshel, the Head of the Committee claimed that every citizen of Crimea should make a choice before the election to cooperate with the occupation authorities or not.  
'Persons who will be involved in the election as the members of the commissions should bear the responsibility according to the Ukrainian legislation. One of the motivations to participate in the election can be the essential financial rewards in the sum of 56 dollars. However, such persons should understand that they can be imposed by particular sanctions due to such actions: from the ban to enter territory controlled by Ukraine to the impossibility to get the biometric documents due to the criminal responsibility', he said.

According to the information of the Committee of voters of Ukraine, 27 territorial election commissions and 1164 district election commissions were illegally formed in Crimea. Moreover, 4 territorial and 181 district commissions were formed in Sevastopol. Part of the information about the organizers of the presidential elections in Crimea is in free access.
The election of the president of Russia will take place on March 18, 2018. The Central Election Commission registered eight candidates, including Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Zhyrinovskyi, Ksenia Sobchak and Grigory Yavlinsky.
