In 2017, the level of vaccination against measles has grown compared to 2016, according to the Ministry of Health.
It is noted that less than half of the children were vaccinated against measles according to the schedule - 45.5% of those aged 1, and 32.1% of those aged 6. According to the estimations of the UNICEF and the WHO6 Ukraine was ranked third among the countries with the lowest levels of measles vaccination.

In 2017, 97.3% of those aged 1 and 90.7% of those aged 6 were vaccinated according to the schedule.
As of the middle of January, 64.7% of those who missed the first dose of the vaccine and 72.2% of those who missed the second one were vaccinated.
In order to achieve herd immunity, 95-98% of children and adults must be vaccinated. Ukraine is working towards reaching this level of vaccination, the health ministry says.
Due to the measles outbreak in Ukraine, there are 2,084 people infected as of Jan. 22.
