Transit of gas through Ukraine decreased by 23% due explosion at gas pipeline in Austria

The transit of the gas through Ukraine decreased by 23% up to 200 million of cubic meters due to the explosion at the biggest gas pipeline in Weiden an der March district, Austria
as Maksym Bilyavsky, the Counselor of Minister of Energy of Ukraine reported at Facebook.
Bilyavsky also noted that the gas pipeline was repaired today.

‘Baumgarten is repaired! It was possible to restore the transportation of the gas from Slovakia to Austria and then to Italy. The transit of the gas through Ukraine decreased by 23% up to 200 million of cubic meters during the last day but we will come up’, he wrote.

Earlier the law enforcers reported on the death of one person and 21 victims of the explosion. Preliminary, the police noted that the explosion took place due to technical problems and the investigation was begun due to the incident. The Eustram Gas Company also confirmed that the incident happened due to the technical deficiency.
