Inflation in Ukraine slows down to 1.2% in October

In Ukraine, consumer prices in October 2017 increased by 1.2%, according to the State Statistics Service.
In October, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.1%. The most expensive were eggs and lard, prices increased by 14.9% and by 10.2%, respectively. But buckwheat, sugar, fruits and vegetables became cheaper by 6.5-0.7%. Alcohol and tobacco products went up by 1.3%.
Also there was an increase in the prices of public utilities by 0.5%. Transport prices increased by 2.4%, mainly because of a rise in price of fuel and oils by 4.4%.

As State Statistics Service reports, since the beginning of the year, inflation has reached 11.5%.

According to Sologub, the National Bank will publish the new prognosis on the inflation later and noted that the inflation should decelerate in Ukraine until the end of 2017.
