Ukrainian Embassy to Serbia
Oleksandr] who earlier claimed that Russia makes use of Serbia to destroy Europe was supported by the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine despite the talks on the escalation of the Serbian scandal as European Truth reported.
‘We will not punish Oleksandr Alexandrovych for his actions. He got the resounding support of his attitude in Kyiv both officially and during the closed discussions. The European Truth got the signs that the ambassador is supported by the MFA since the beginning of the scandal because he said the truth but only he could speak too harsh strain during the interview’, as the edition reported.

As it is known Pavlo Klimkin called the Ukrainian Ambassador for the consultation and a few decisions were made during it. Particularly, the Ukrainian Ambassador will return to Belgrade and continue his work despite the Serbian calls to expel him. He was only advised to avoid the sharp statements.
‘Serbia is very important for us and we will work and try to develop the contacts if there is a readiness from the Serbian side. This story allowed us to send the main signal that we really concerned and Belgrade should pay attention to this’, the source that knows the content of the consultation said.

According to Markiian Lubkivsky who earlier worked at the diplomatic mission in Serbia, Belgrade does not demand to expel the Ukrainian Ambassador at the moment. He also noted that Ukraine does not intend to escalate the situation but the dialogue on the Serbian mercenaries in Donbas will continue.

In recent interviews with Serbian media, Ukraine's Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Alexandrovich said that Russia is using Serbia to destabilize the situation in the region, in particular, encouraging separatism in Bosnia and trying to influence Macedonia. The ambassador also mentioned the Serbian mercenaries fighting on the side of the Russian armed formations in Donbas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia accused the Ukrainian ambassador in the intentions to harm the friendly relations between Moscow and Belgrade. Alexandrovych can be expelled out from Serbia and called persona non-grata.
Later Foreign Minister of Ukraine called Alexandrovych for consultation.
