Dutch govt to decide about kind of trial on MH17 downing - MediaIn the near future, the Dutch government will decide about the trial of suspects in the downing of the MH17 flight over Ukrainian Donbas.

This was reported by the Dutch Internet site NU, citing sources.

The publication noted that now there are two options for how a trial can be organized: it can be an international tribunal or a court session in one of the countries that are part of the investigation team.

Before that, the Government of the Netherlands stated that the perpetrators would eventually face Dutch courts, but the country does not determine alone how and where the trial will take place.

Participants in the investigation from Australia, Malaysia, Ukraine and Belgium next week can jointly decide on the procedure by which the court session will be held.

Boeing 777 of Malaysia Airlines, which carried out the flight MN17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down by the Russian system Buk on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region. As a result of the disaster, all 298 people who were on board died. The passengers of the flight were citizens of 10 countries, most of the dead were citizens of the Netherlands.
